Canada Bars It's Doors

There have been several instances reently of the Canadian Government failing to assist it's citizens who have, for one reason or another, become stranded in other countries. Canada also appears to be unwilling to welcome visitors to our shores. I have just spent several months, as well as some money, preparing letters and documentation to assist a young African friend to apply for a visitor's visa. I was willing to pay his travel costs as well as provide accomodation and living expenses. Whe he submitted his application to the Canadian High Commission in Accra they refused to give him a visa without offering any explanation. Due to my age, as well as hearing reports of travel horror stories, I have decided to give up any thought of overseas or even USA travel. No wonder we see a distinct decrease in our tourist and visitor industries.

Busy Saturday
